Acclaimed textiles artist, Xia Gao, uses fabric, screen-printing, and light to tell her story of relocation and adaptation to Nebraska from her native country, China.   Gao screen-prints images of cornhusks onto large pieces of perforated hand-dyed fabric. Images of Nebraska’s urban and rural scenes appear when light passes through the fabric.  This exhibition is in collaboration with the Textile Society of America conference.
