LMTA Hosts Chamber Music Festival

Music students experience playing in chamber groups at Chamber Music Festival

The Lincoln Music Teachers Association will host a Chamber Music recital at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the sanctuary at Grace Lutheran Church, 2225 Washington Streets, Lincoln, Nebraska. The recital is free and open to the public.

Intermediate to advanced students of LMTA members, Lincoln Symphony Orchestra members, Lincoln Suzuki Talent Education members, and members of the Home School Orchestra will have participate in a day of rehearsal and coaching sessions by the members of the Nebraska Chamber Players prior to the recital where small chamber groups will perform for each other.  Lisa Myers and Jentry Barrett are Festival Chairs.

LMTA is a nonprofit organization which provides support and continuing education for its members and regularly sponsors events in the community for teachers and their students.  LMTA is an affiliate of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and Nebraska Music Teachers Association (NMTA).  Meetings are held each month September through May, except December where an educational component is offered.  Go to LMTA.info for more information.
