First Friday Gallery Walks, Wednesday Night Jazz, Monday Night Poetry Readings, plays, concerts, dance performances, exhibits and openings! Our calendar of events provides easy access to everything you need to know when planning your arts adventure in Lincoln.

Arts organizations wishing to post events must create a profile to begin adding events to the calendar. LAC provides this service to organizations that have an arts mission.

Arts News

Lincoln Arts Council produces ArtScene Online each month. It is a media-rich eNewsletter highlighting Lincoln Arts Council news, events happening in Lincoln’s art scene and our popular “Moment of Artistic Zen.”  You can sign up here to be added to that list! (As always, we never provide our mailing information to others.)  

Arts Resources

Lincoln Arts Council provides resources for artists and arts organizations to help with visibility, funding, networking, and best practices. You can use materials in our resource library, view shared documents, or schedule one on one mentoring sessions with LAC staff. We are here to help you with your questions on grant writing, fundraising, board development, promotion, general tools for managing a non-profit and more.

Arts Advocacy

At LAC, the Arts Mean Business! We work to help our community understand the economic benefit of the arts. The advocacy section gives you information about our arts economic impact study funded by Woods Charitable Fund, Inc. and tells you how the arts benefit individual lives in Lincoln. 

Arts Speakers

Lincoln Arts Council staff and board members provide presentations to community organizations interested in the arts. Community Art Projects

Lincoln Arts Council provides helpful tips and suggestions as you plan your next project involving the arts.  We can assist you in getting the word out about your great project and planning your promotion; we’ll take a look at your call for artists and share our experience in organizing events. ArtScene.org is the ultimate destination for all Lincoln’s arts information! The public comes to us for arts news and events. Artists and arts organizations, get the word out by creating a profile, uploading content, such as photos and announcements, and linking their own websites to ArtScene.org.
