Visiting Lincoln?

Think Lincoln for an arts adventure steeped in our famous Nebraska hospitality! Lincoln is an arts treasure that offers a thriving cultural scene to rival the largest of cities. Sophisticated, accessible and affordable, there's always something exciting to enjoy in Lincoln: top-rated theatre, wonderful works of art, amazing film, premier performances, poetry readings and live music everyday.

Thinkin' arts this weekend?

Our calendar of events is filled with exceptional arts opportunities.

Thinkin' art museums and galleries?

Looking for nationally acclaimed museums, like Sheldon Art Mueseum on the University of Nebraska campus, or a list of the many local galleries that exhibit and sell the wonderful works of Lincoln's artists?  You can find their information (and link to their websites) by using our new Artists and Arts Organizations search feature.

Thinkin' public art displays?

We're building a map to help you find the permanent and temporary displays of public art in Lincoln from the Daniel Chester French sculpture of Abraham Lincoln at the Nebraska State Capitol Building to our many Tour de Lincoln sculptures throughout the community. Soon a Google Earth map will lead you to Lincoln's public art. And since Lincoln Arts Council is about building community and giving artists opportunities, you can help us build the map! Please share your photos of Lincoln's public art with us by contacting graham@artscene.org.

Thinkin' performing arts venue?

Take a look at our Artists and Arts Organizations section to find everything from The Lied Center for Performing Arts to Lincoln Community Playhouse to Pinewood Bowl to multiple stage venues for music, theatre, dance and other performances.

Thinkin' Lincoln?

A tourism project centered on arts and culture, funded by Nebraska Department of Tourism, resulted in an incredible brochure and map. Click on Thinkin' Lincoln to download your copy of the brochure.

Thinkin' fantastic, user-friendly lodging, restaurant and events information?

The Lincoln Convention and Visitor's Bureau is packed with all the great information you'll want to know about visiting our fabulous and artistic community!

Special Thanks

In 2009 the Lincoln Arts Council received a generous gift from the estate of Ken Good, a portion of which was used to redevelop our website and establish an endowment. We offer our heart-felt thanks to Kenneth J. Good for his generosity and vision for a beautiful future.
